Data Engineer Senior

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Engineer to join our team on a nearshore basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building data pipelines with Scala, Spark, Python, and Databricks, along with working knowledge of the AWS data ecosystem. You will help enhance, support, and create new data pipelines for leading global companies, working closely with clients and contributing your ideas in design sessions and agile ceremonies.


Key Responsibilities:

• Pipeline Development: Design, build, and deliver new data pipelines using Spark, Scala, and Python on Databricks.
• Enhancement & Support: Improve, maintain, and troubleshoot existing data pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and data quality.
• Cloud Data Integration: Work with AWS services such as Glue, S3, and Athena, as well as Snowflake, to ingest, transform, and query data.
• Solution Design: Actively participate in design sessions, proposing technical approaches and sharing ideas to solve data challenges.
• Agile Collaboration: Take part in Scrum meetings and collaborate with the team to deliver work on time and within scope.
• Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients, providing updates and understanding their data needs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Scala, Spark, and Python.
• Experience working with Databricks.
• Working knowledge of AWS data services (Glue, S3, Athena) and Snowflake.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills (B2+ or above) to interact effectively with US/Global clients.
